Wies van Dooremalen studied Molecular Nutrition & Toxicology at Wageningen University (graduated 2017). She performed her master thesis at the Department of Cell Biology and Immunology (WUR) on the transport of cashew allergen through the gut barrier. Subsequently she performed an internship project on endothelial adhesion molecule expression in the group of Nutritional Immunology at the University of Southampton (UK). At TubaScan she studies the emerging pathogen Waddlia chondrophila and its effects on tubal factor infertility in women.
