Dear Chlamydia lovers,
This year we organize our Twelfth Annual Amsterdam Chlamydia Meeting (12th AACM) on Friday February 10th, 2017. The location is the same as previous years “The Mercure aan de Amstel Hotel” in Amsterdam.
Registration is free (http://www.aacm.nl/), as are the drinks afterwards. Those who wish to join us for diner are asked to pay a small fee (€15) at the registration desk. Please register on this website from the 1st of November 2016.
We are currently working on the programme, but we are honoured that Professor Thomas Meyer (Max Planck Institute, Berlin, Germany) will give the key note lecture entitled “A fallopian tube organoid model for Chlamydia trachomatis infection”. His current research interests focus on the global understanding of infection processes, the manifestation of heritable epigenetic marks upon infection, and the sequelae of long-term chronic infection, including cancer.
The topics of the different sessions are already shown in the preliminary programme and we will keep you updated on the progress. Suggestions for session topics and presentations are of course welcome and can be mailed to the organisers. The best oral presentation by a PhD student will be awarded.
Before lunch, there will be 10 pitches of 3 minutes each from students, PhD students, or staff to briefly show a new research line or programme they are working on, but for which data is still limited. So please let the organisers know if you want to present.
We are looking forward to an exciting meeting and fruitful discussions!
Warmest regards,
Servaas and Sander, AACM organisers
